Welcome ...
This blog has been created to allow family and friends to share in and become part of the experience of 'Down at the Farm'.
Enjoy the children, their love for each other and their open hearted wonder and excitement.
Over time you will get to know the farm through their eyes and will see how they spend their day with each other in a very rich, organic way.
Each vignette is a snapshot in time. Follow from one to another, then on to more and you can share in our unfoldment and journey.
Enjoy your visit ...

So much can happen in a day ...

Guinea Pig cuddles are where we all warmed up with each at the start of the day.   The girls just kicked back and enjoyed.

Eden and Charlie did too.  Spencer took his time to suss it all out with them both.  Charlie was only too willing for Spencer to 'try out' a bit of patting and chatting with his little furry friend.

Charlie was such a dear little companion to have along ... everyone and everything was new ... and he gently took it all in his stride.   He was first to jump up for a cow milk in a cast of many who were there on the day ... and he loved it !!

Daisy did too.   It was so good to see her.   For anyone who wants to wander, if you go back through the blog and see any posts at all with Daisy's photo in them.   Have a read ... you will most likely be thoroughly entertained and have your heart warmed in an instant.  Daisy came to visit regularly a while back and this visit was a re-connect for her.   She loved it and was just gorgeous with her farm knowledge and experience ... sharing it with the other children.

... and Poppy not only loved the milking, she was mesmerised by what came out with each squirt.  Like she was watching liquid gold land at her feet.

This little construction was something that Eden made.   He had sussed out the big cubby and wanted to make his own.   This was a master feat of design and engineering.   He found the wood, piece by piece and then went about placing it and balancing it until it began to take shape ...

He was particular and thorough with each piece he placed ... while Charlie and Spencer played near by, Eden used all his strength to place stumps and logs ... for the sweetest of reasons as you'll soon see ...

He wanted all his friends to have somewhere to sit when they came to visit ...

... and by the end of the day ... we were down by the river in the cool green grass ... lolling around and just having a good time ...

It really was a good day!
