We've hit pay dirt ...
What's pay dirt .. ? The stuff where the gold is found ... and that's exactly what Wednesday was like for Frankie,Oliver, Kornelius, Samson and Mika.
These five children travelled together for the day in a deeply bonded, caring and joy filled space.
Frankie is funny, very funny and she doesn't even mean to be. She just is, full of sweetness, kindness and quirk. You'll see it in the photos. They say more about Frankie than my words can.
Kornelius is a man of principle. He really cares to do what is caring of us all and will often ask questions about the consequence of things or how to do things. I've found him to be quite shy, if he notices the camera, he turns away with a little blush in his cheeks and often during the day lands in my lap like a little puppy all cuddly and smiley and wanting to be close.
Oliver is a lot of fun. He's bright a cheery and chats to almost anyone we meet with great interest in them and what is happening on the day. He also has a sharp with and great sense of humour and often finds me quite funny too!
Samson, gentle heart and big heart. What a darling, he sort of gets in a zone with us where all you need to do is look at Samson's face to see how things are going for us all. He also loves to get physical, climbing and jumping ... you can see him taking a leap in one of the photos.
Mika, eyes full of love and light and deep as deep can be. I find myself falling into them often. She gives her best all the time, plays with great enthusiasm and imagination on fire. Loves it when she finds a way to engage with the other children and invite them into her play and when we hit her zone, her intelligence and love for all beam at very high frequency.
The day we had play morphed and change from the girls together and the boys together, to all together to all sorts of mixes and dynamics in harmony all along.
I think the photos give you a good sense of things ... we've really found the gold with each other pay dirt ... maybe the alchemy of love.
