Welcome ...
This blog has been created to allow family and friends to share in and become part of the experience of 'Down at the Farm'.
Enjoy the children, their love for each other and their open hearted wonder and excitement.
Over time you will get to know the farm through their eyes and will see how they spend their day with each other in a very rich, organic way.
Each vignette is a snapshot in time. Follow from one to another, then on to more and you can share in our unfoldment and journey.
Enjoy your visit ...

Picnic by the fireside

Could there be any place better to picnic than this on a cold winters day .. ?

I don't think so ...

Anna, Milana, Daisy and Farrah had a lovely day together, cold and at times windy, what was on our side was a mostly blue sky which always helps to keep spirits up.

We found mud early on in the day.

... and once boots were dirty and enough fun was had here, right next door there were pools and puddles in the sand, which soon washed boots clean ...

The Indian Runner ducks were pretty entertaining as they splashed and bathed ...

While the baby pigs are fattening up fast ...

Not unlike Milana a few weeks back, Anna took to 'singing the sign' ... very cute indeed.  To my eyes it was info about Birkshire Pigs, to hers it was the ABC song.  Very sweet rendition.

Daisy was snug as a bug ...

... and Milana and Farrah thought they were pretty funny hiding in an old stump.  Funniest thing was, every time they bobbed down out of sight a little white pom, pom danced around and gave them away ...

The only thing that could have made the day better was ... Cosmos ... he was away unwell and we missed him.  At different moments during the day, one of the children or another would suddenly stop, look round and give a surprised, 'Oh. oh ... ... where's Cossie?' He is so in everyone heart that they just kept missing him being there.

Hope you are feeling better Cossie, can't wait to see you next week.
