A big adventure and contented play ..

Our day started with a bit of a shock as Mac who hardly every cries, was quite upset about his grandfather Ronnie leaving. We soon cheered Mac up by all giving him lots of love and talking about where we’d like to go. I informed the children that Heather the cow had returned and had just given birth to her calf called Saturday.  Everyone was much excited about the adventure to go and meet Saturday!

It ended up being a two and a half hour adventure, as we stopped to investigate to sheep and their pooh! The next stop was feeding the goats, this got everyone laughing. The goats must have been very hungry because they were reaching their heads a long way out of the fence to try and get the leaves. Mac just kept walking back and forth saying “more” “Here you doe doats.” and then he’d repeat this all over again.

Frieda who is normally a bit scared to feed them was right into it this morning, as long as I stood behind her, she knew she was safe.

Then off we went to the next paddock passing Danella’s Gang on the way. We finally made it to see Saturday. Minnie and Dan seemed much more interested in Heathers big pooh on the ground, but then the calves came bounding up to the fence. Freya who was contently drawing in the dirt nearly scaled my leg with shock saying “Darly scared” it gave everyone a bit of a shock, but we all calmed down and tried to feed them some grass. They licked our hands and slobbered all over us, a funny little experience we all had!

The day went on with quirks and funny little moments. But the last part of the day, we spent with Danella’s group. We shared our yummy treats that Daniel’s mum Claire and Mac’s mum Lauren gave us. Thank you both we all really enjoyed them! And for the rest of the day Danella and I watched ten children play ever so contently with one another. It was a very lovely thing to be a part of and witness.

There are some photos below for you to enjoy ...
