Happy as kids in mud ...

What a great day the gang had today, even for those not feeling so great!

We started off with a much excited Taj and equally exited Luke bouncing around the peppercorn tree barely containing themselves …so a quick snack to fuel us up and off we went to all our favourite spots on the farm.

We started with a little guinea pig cuddle, as that was Ella’s request and we had agreed that we would do that on the way down to the “beach” (being the horse corral). The sitting still cuddling guinea pigs was a little challenging for Luke and Taj as they really needed to just run around for a while to let out some of that excitement.  This is exactly what they did once we got down to the 'beach'.

Then off we went to the witches garden for some tree climbing and cubby house playing, also encountering some peacocks and very hungry goats. That seemed to be all that Luke had in him for the day as he wasn’t feeling very well, so off we went to have a picnic and wait for Luke’s mum Vicki to come and get him.
After that, well let’s just say it got very messy ...

A little waddle down to the duck pond, turned into a very interesting turn of events. Ella, Taj and Eden seemed to have made their feet disappear in the mud at the bottom of the dried out duck pond. This all happened in a matter of seconds while I was helping Archie. So as it was that they had completely drowned their shoes in mud, I though why not let them keep playing.  It was a case of squelching up and down the pond path, getting stuck in the mud, giggling, helping each other out of the mud and just generally having a great time. The\is last part of our day was muddy, funny and quite smelly …

Sorry to all the parents who have to wash those smelly shoes and socks tonight, but it was well worth it, we had lots of fun.

Here are a couple of moments for you to share in …
