I'm in a dancing mood ...

First stop was saying good morning to the new baby goats. What a surprise for us all that was. Two very cute goats born this morning, it’s so wonderful that the children get to see these things while living in the city.

Next we were off to play in the sand down at the horse corral. We all made cakes that had very interesting ingredients. Eden’s had chocolate, strawberry, pineapple and lollypops in it. Ella’s had Lollypops, tetana’s (sultana’s) and fruit berries in it. We all tasted the funny flavoured cakes and then moved on to play on a wooden pallet. Eden started dancing, tapping his heel and shaking his hands. He looked like a professional dancer. It was great. All the others soon joined in and we sang a few songs to dance along to.

Archie then hopped into his pretend car to take us all on an adventure. We all took it in turns to be the driver and say were we’d like to go. While we were driving, I mentioned to Ella that I had a song stuck in my head. She looked at me with a perplexed look on her face. ‘Where is it stuck?’ she asked. I explained that sometimes when you sing a song, you continue to sing it in your head and told her that I couldn’t stop singing it. So she looked at me again and said ‘Why don’t you just turn it off?!’ I really loved the simplicity and genuine clarity in Ella in that moment.

Our next mission was lunch. We tried to sit outside but it started to rain. So we relocated into the barn next to the warm fire. I made us a hot chocolate at home to share after lunch, which everyone was grateful for as it warmed up our tummies really nicely.

Next off to the witches garden for a play. Eden, Ella and Taj had a great time down there playing mum, dad and baby kangaroos. Archie and I had a great time to, balancing along the logs and hanging upside down in my arms.

After the witches garden, farmer Toni had the guinea pigs in the barn today and she asked us if we’d like to have a cuddle. So we stayed in the barn to have a cuddle each and wait for parents to come.

We all had a great day ...
