Winter wonderland ...

Even a winter's day didn't dampen spirits and Ted, Isabel, Isabel (yes two of them) Daisy, Alexandra and Gabriel approached the day and the farm like they were exploring a great wonderland.

We managed to do so much and none of it was rushed ... take a peek ...

Taking things in at the start of the day ...

Cow milking was fun for those brave enough to try.

Making cakes ... these were artisans at work over this creation.

Playing cubbies ...

Making sand castles ... the biggest one in the whole world of course.

... and more sand castles ... gentlest of play for Isabel and Alexandra

A flying leap for Daisy added some adventure

Making nests for the chickens from hay and wormwood after their house was cleaned was Isabel's delight.

Visiting the worms and seeing where they lived was fun.

Playing babies ... lots of nurture and smooch.

Up close with the sheep ... we found out it is so warm when you put your hand into all that wool.

Saying hello to Mickey the donkey and feeding him grass was a joy.

For Ted trying on my glasses was something worth checking out as he is getting his own tomorrow ... with footballs on none the less.

We had a heap of fun and a very satisfying day of play, exploration, discovery and adventure ...dolloped with plenty of fun and love for all.

Yes the farm is a wonderland alright... even in winter time.
