Welcome ...
This blog has been created to allow family and friends to share in and become part of the experience of 'Down at the Farm'.
Enjoy the children, their love for each other and their open hearted wonder and excitement.
Over time you will get to know the farm through their eyes and will see how they spend their day with each other in a very rich, organic way.
Each vignette is a snapshot in time. Follow from one to another, then on to more and you can share in our unfoldment and journey.
Enjoy your visit ...

Little treasures ... deep beauty ...

If you're a regular visitor here, by now you'd have met Frankie Belle and would have some sense of her sense of beauty.
She sees it constantly and being with her can be slow and steady and gentle ... and all things beautiful can be found and seen.
In recent weeks, she's taken to picking u every little 'beautiful thing' she can.
Little feathers and flowers and twigs and twine, a bit of hay a tiny sparkle of something and as she finds them ... she finds ways to entwine them all ... creating ... a handful of beauty ... that she carries with her througout the day.  She is deeply content in this process.
This week, with feathers and twine together, she wrapped a little piece of paper round it all, tore the paper a bit, stretched it out, gave a sigh and said, 'Ah ... that's me, danella see the long dress, that's me.'
The dress disappeared over the day and yet the little treasures continued to be found until right at the end so did a little bear.   Frankie placed the bear on her handful of treasure, showed it to me and said, 'I found a bear,' looked at it, then added a little coyly, 'It looks just like me.'
... and you know what ... it did ...
